Frequented by surfers since the 1980s, Itacaré now attracts all kinds of people in search of beach and nature. Here, there is no shortage of entertainment and leisure options for all ages. You can take a canoe ride on the Rio das Contas, swim in waterfalls, catch waves at a dozen different spots, traverse a treetop circuit in the middle of the Atlantic Forest, go rafting in the rapids of Taboquinhas, hike along the Costão trails, or simply take a dip in the sea at the beaches near the city.

After a day at the beach, the program is to watch the sunset at Ponta do Xaréu and then stroll along the city's boardwalks, also known as Pituba and Passarela da Vila, to watch a capoeira circle, visit the local artisans' shops, and dine at one of the various restaurants serving local and international dishes.
